What you will do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all benefits programs, including health and welfare plans and 401(k) management.
  • Drive the annual open enrollment process end to end, from system configuration to employee communications.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to benefits offerings through the lens of cost, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver clear, engaging benefits communications and educational resources for employees.
  • Conduct regular benefits audits, identify opportunities for improvement, and build action plans.
  • Generate and present benefits utilization reports, cost analyses, and benchmarking data to leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of dedicated benefits administration experience, with a broader background in HR compliance and employment law.
  • Thorough knowledge of benefits-related laws and regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA.
  • Proven experience managing vendor and broker relationships and leading the full open enrollment lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret benefits utilization data and cost trends.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS experience required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with self-funded health insurance.
  • Experience with HSA implementation and administration.
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar benefits administration platforms.
  • PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, or CEBS certification.
