What you will do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all benefits programs, including health and welfare plans and 401(k) management.
- Drive the annual open enrollment process end to end, from system configuration to employee communications.
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to benefits offerings through the lens of cost, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and deliver clear, engaging benefits communications and educational resources for employees.
- Conduct regular benefits audits, identify opportunities for improvement, and build action plans.
- Generate and present benefits utilization reports, cost analyses, and benchmarking data to leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of dedicated benefits administration experience, with a broader background in HR compliance and employment law.
- Thorough knowledge of benefits-related laws and regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA.
- Proven experience managing vendor and broker relationships and leading the full open enrollment lifecycle.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret benefits utilization data and cost trends.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS experience required.
Nice to have
- Experience with self-funded health insurance.
- Experience with HSA implementation and administration.
- Familiarity with Workday or similar benefits administration platforms.
- PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, or CEBS certification.
