Salary: $180,000 – $260,000

What you will do

• Lead and grow the team responsible for safety-critical flight software.
• Maturing engineering processes to balance execution with formal DO-178C verification.
• Provide technical and architectural guidance on flight software components from flight controls to redundancy management.
• Collaborate with GNC, Avionics, Systems, and Hardware leads to execute technical roadmaps.
• Ensure the team is unblocked and empowered to deliver robust, certifiable software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of professional experience in real-time embedded software development (C/C++).
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or people management role.
• Experience with GNC algorithms, flight dynamics, and state estimation.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise permitted to access export-controlled technology.
• Must be willing to travel 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling teams in a high-growth environment.
• Experience designing fault-tolerant systems and redundancy management schemes.
• Full lifecycle experience with DO-178C certification programs.
• Professional experience with Python for tooling and data analysis.
