Location: Must be based in Mountain View, CA (Onsite)
Salary: $165,000 – $220,000

What you will do
- Lead the strategy and execution of the quality management system, risk mitigation, and design reliability.
- Partner with design, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure hardware verification for flight components.
- Investigate anomalies in manufacturing, supply chain, and flight to identify and mitigate root causes.
- Develop, implement, and validate test and inspection methodologies for new and existing products.
- Automate quality metrics and provide recommendations for design and process improvements.
- Work directly with flight hardware in the factory and on the plane to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Software Engineering.
- 7+ years of professional experience in design, manufacturing, test, or quality/reliability engineering.
- 2+ years of experience with investigations and problem-solving methods.
- Must be a U.S. person or otherwise permitted to access export-controlled technology.
- Experience with quality, risk, and safety management systems.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
Nice to have
- Experience with FAA regulatory requirements (e.g., 14 CFR 21, DO-160, DO-254).
- Programming experience in Python, C, or SQL for data analysis and automation.
- Experience developing engineering infrastructure and tools for QMS.
