Location: Must be based in the US (Atlanta, New York, Chicago, West Hartford, or Boston). This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the office.

Salary: $120,000–$160,000

What you will do

• Engage with stakeholders early to define testable requirements for data applications.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using Python and pytest.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure high-quality code delivery and comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies to maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
• Implement a risk-based approach to testing to ensure quality outcomes at high velocity.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership within the data engineering squad.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US and able to work in a hybrid model (2 days/week in office).
• Deep familiarity with behavior-driven development (BDD) and Cucumber/Gherkin syntax.
• Proven experience as an SDET with modern test automation approaches.
• Excellent knowledge of Python and pytest.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with dbt.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data lakehouse technologies like Databricks or Snowflake.
