What you will do

• Design and architect real-time user interface applications for controlling automated aircraft systems.
• Develop software ranging from embedded UIs on aviation-grade hardware to browser-based applications.
• Support the development of fully certified systems through rapid prototyping and reference implementations.
• Collaborate with software engineers, designers, systems engineers, and pilots to ensure safety and usability.
• Own the entire lifecycle of pilot-facing application software.
• Participate in experimental test flight programs and certification campaigns.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person or authorized to access U.S. export-controlled technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing user-facing software for high-performance or mission-critical applications.
• 5+ years of professional experience in C or C++.
• Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with DO-178C certification standards.
• Understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking.
• Expertise in developing user-facing software requirements and graphical specifications.
• Experience with human-in-the-loop testing.
• Proficiency in browser technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
• Private pilot license.
