What you will do

• Design and develop high-quality software for EO/IR, signal, and image processing pipelines.
• Interface with imaging and data sensors to collect and analyze critical mission data.
• Develop on-board software for next-generation satellite constellations.
• Support the creation of detection and tracking algorithms and integrate third-party IP.
• Collaborate with electrical and digital design teams to solidify system architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada or the United States
• 5+ years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ with experience in concurrency and hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN).
• Experience developing EO/IR, signal, or image processing algorithms.
• Familiarity with embedded operating systems and build systems like OpenEmbedded/Yocto and FreeRTOS.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Experience developing software specifically for aerospace applications.
• Background in detection and tracking algorithms for edge or ground processing.
• Experience using ML/AI within processing pipelines.
• Experience interfacing with FPGA or GPU processing hardware.
