TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Embedded): Developing and deploying embedded software for the Body domain within the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) framework with an accent on vehicle motion, occupant protection, and vehicle access. Focus on designing and integrating C-based software components and implementing robust unit and integrated level testing.

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in Mountain View, California (expected to report to the office at least three times per week)

Salary: $158,000 - $241,900

What you will do

• Implement Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) requirements and designs in collaboration with Software Architects.
• Develop embedded software for the Body domain using C code within an agile-scrum team.
• Create and integrate software interfaces to enhance existing capabilities and integrate new components.
• Identify and resolve software issues and contribute to the team's technical knowledge base.
• Manage software component archiving and coordination using GIT repositories.
• Design and execute comprehensive test cases at unit, component, and integrated levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in writing and debugging C code.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for collaborating with geographically dispersed teams.
• High degree of independence and motivation within a scrum environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AUTOSAR framework, Vector, and Automotive Ethernet.
• Familiarity with automotive software standards, test procedures, and build processes.
• Experience with software configuration management tools (Git Ecosystem).
• Testing experience in SIL/HIL or other virtual environments.
• Prior experience working with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
