What you will do

• Lead the accounting organization, owning the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Establish a strong controls environment and ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements and audit readiness.
• Oversee technical accounting, including revenue recognition, capitalization policies, and equity compensation.
• Build scalable cost accounting practices for manufacturing, focusing on inventory, WIP, and COGS integrity.
• Lead the strategy and implementation of ERP and finance systems to improve scalability and data reliability.
• Partner with Production and Supply Chain teams to track labor, materials, and program costs for government and commercial contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA certification.
• 12–15+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial statement preparation, and internal controls.
• Proven experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Experience with cost accounting and long-cycle program financial structures.
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by U.S. Government export regulations.

Nice to have

• MBA degree.
• Experience with government compliance frameworks such as FAR/DFARS.
• Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and BI tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
