TL;DR

Market Development Representative (Fintech): Engaging and converting inbound leads into new sales opportunities for the SMB Sales Team with an accent on lead qualification and outbound outreach. Focus on conducting thorough discovery, booking product demos, and managing the early-stage sales funnel.

Location: Must be based in New York, NY (Onsite 5 days a week)

Salary: $65,000 base + $27,500 on-target commission ($92,500 total annual income)

What you will do

  • Engage and convert inbound leads into sales opportunities via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Book qualified product demonstrations for the Small Medium Business (SMB) sales team.
  • Conduct thorough pre-call and in-call discovery to understand prospect needs and business priorities.
  • Utilize the company tool stack to manage the lead pipeline and maintain accurate records.
  • Support new enterprise client acquisition through consistent outreach and lead conversion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a competitive, self-starter spirit.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Nice to have

  • Prior sales internship experience.
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and LeanData/BookIt.
  • Strong interest in capital markets.
