TL;DR

GCP Cloud Engineer (GCP): Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform with an accent on infrastructure automation, cloud security, and CI/CD pipeline development. Focus on implementing IaC using Terraform, ensuring compliance with federal security standards, and optimizing cloud services in a high-security government environment.

Location: In-Person (5 days/week) in Washington, DC. U.S. Citizenship Required.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
• Support CI/CD pipeline automation, integration, and management.
• Collaborate with software engineers, security personnel, and government stakeholders to support deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure cloud services meet SLAs.
• Implement cloud best practices and ensure compliance with federal security standards such as FedRAMP and NIST.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Willingness to obtain a security clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years specifically on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts and understanding of ATO processes.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
