Platform Engineer II (DevOps)

What you will do

• Own day-to-day operations and reliability of lab and demo environments.
• Maintain Kubernetes deployments and on-prem virtualization platforms.
• Develop reusable deployment templates, runbooks, and documentation for development teams.
• Build and optimize CI/CD workflows using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Troubleshoot issues across Linux systems, networking, DNS, TLS, and ingress.
• Automate environment setup and validation using Bash and Python scripts.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in McLean, VA.
• Proficiency in Linux administration, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD tools.
• Working knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python.

Nice to have

• Experience with Proxmox, VMware, or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of Ansible or modern CI/CD platforms like Harness.
• Familiarity with federal compliance standards such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, or FedRAMP.
• AWS Associate or RHCSA certifications.
