What you will do

• Lead a team of engineers building production systems for code understanding and automated changes, including parsers, telemetry ingestion, and model serving.
• Drive technical direction and execution by setting roadmaps, prioritizing work, and raising the bar for safety, correctness, and performance.
• Partner with product, applied research, infra/SRE, and security teams to ship end-to-end AI experiences.
• Develop and maintain robust offline and online evaluation pipelines to measure model quality and drift.
• Manage hiring, performance development, and career growth for direct reports.
• Ensure production readiness through on-call management, SLIs/SLOs, and operational playbooks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering and applied science, specifically engineering LLM-based systems in production.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of software engineers or applied scientists with a track record of product delivery.
• Proficiency in Python and Go.
• Strong foundation in machine learning theory, statistics, and fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in New York, NY.
