What you will do

• Design and develop innovative hardware solutions and products in a fast-paced team environment.
• Provide solid modeling and prototype support for technology and new product development projects.
• Refine concepts into reliable designs that meet performance, compliance, product integrity, and aesthetic requirements.
• Generate detailed part specifications and drawings tailored for China production environments.
• Perform product prototyping and testing, including writing test requests and obtaining quotes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and China factories to drive continuous improvement of existing products.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics.
• 5-8 years of experience in product development for high-volume consumer products (Mobile Robotics preferred).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and experience with plastic injection molding, die-casting, sheet metal, and machining.
• Strong knowledge of design processes, including DFME, FEA, and DFM.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Ability to travel to and stay at supplier factories, as well as occasional international travel.
