What you will do

• Develop innovative design solutions and products within a fast-paced team environment.
• Provide solid modeling and prototype support for new product development.
• Refine concepts into reliable designs meeting performance, compliance, and aesthetic requirements.
• Design for manufacturability specifically for China production environments.
• Generate detailed part specifications and technical drawings for factories.
• Conduct product prototyping and testing, and support continuous improvement of existing products.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in high-volume consumer product development, preferably with mobile robotics.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and experience with injection molding, die-casting, sheet metal, and machining.
• Strong knowledge of design processes including DFME, FEA, and DFM.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics.
• Good command of English speaking and writing.
• Ability to travel to and stay at supplier factories.
