What you will do

• Define the architecture of a modern data platform on AWS using Data Lake and Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Translate complex business needs into clear architectural decisions and detailed technical specifications.
• Lead the migration from fragmented legacy environments to a unified cloud platform.
• Create governance and execution artifacts including data catalogs, models, business rules, and quality standards.
• Define standards for data pipelines using Airflow and Spark for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Establish data governance models (Centralized vs. Federated / Data Mesh) and ensure the platform supports MLOps and GenAI.

Requirements

• English: C1 or higher (Fluent) required; only English CVs will be considered
• Location: Must be based in Brazil
• Strong experience in large-scale data architecture and technical leadership.
• Proven expertise in cloud modernization on AWS and legacy data consolidation.
• Deep knowledge of distributed processing (Spark, Airflow), data governance, and Data Mesh.
• Experience designing platforms specifically for AI/ML workloads and MLOps.

Nice to have

• Experience with GenAI technologies including LLMs, RAG, and vector databases.
• Strong knowledge of clean architecture principles and design patterns.
