Principal Data Architect (AI)

What you will do

• Provide strategic guidance and long-term vision across data and AI for client engagements.
• Lead design sessions, architecture reviews, proof-of-concept projects, and evaluations of data technologies and vendors.
• Shape data strategy, modernization, governance, data mesh, real-time architecture, and AI-native platform proposals during pre-sales and bid activities.
• Design and implement sophisticated architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Lead teams delivering data engineering projects with maintainable code, efficient data models, and robust pipelines.
• Bring AI and data projects from prototype to production readiness with traceability, transparency, reproducibility, and compliance.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in AI and data solutions, including their capabilities and limitations.
• Experience with clean software architecture, technical mandates, agile delivery, and engineering responsibilities.
• Proven experience leading technical pre-sales activities and bid management.
• Proficiency with Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, distributed processing, data modeling, API design, containerization, serverless computing, governance, and security.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English at management and technical levels.
• Technical degree in Computer Science or a comparable field.
