Location: Ottawa, ON / Toronto, ON / Vancouver, BC / Remote

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 CAD

What you will do

• Design and ship Labs features end-to-end, from early concept through implementation and iteration.
• Own the design craft in your area, ensuring strong visual quality and sharp interaction thinking.
• Prototype rapidly using Figma, code, AI tools, or all three.
• Collaborate tightly with Engineering from exploration through to production.
• Work with Product Managers and Engineering to define problems.
• Execute user research and bring practitioner and patient insights into your design decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience and a portfolio of shipped work.
• Strong design opinions and open to being challenged.
• Ability to move fluidly between high-level strategy and pixel-perfect execution.
• Experience experimenting with AI tools.
• Care about the user experience, including load times, reliability, and responsiveness across devices.
• Comfortable with code and eager to learn more.

Nice to have

• Background in diagnostics, healthcare, or clinical products.
• Public design artifacts: side projects, prototypes, open-source contributions, posts.
