Event Sales Specialist

Event Sales Specialist (MICE): Increasing client awareness of the new MICE offering and handling large projects, focusing on supporting hirify.global Enterprise and legacy accounts globally. Focus on managing the process from proposal through to negotiation terms including site inspections and proactively maintaining relationships with hirify.global customers at all times and uncovering future opportunities.

Location: Hybrid, Barcelona. Must be based within commuting distance of hirify.global hubs. Relocation support available.

What you will do

• Increase client awareness of the new MICE offering, especially with the AM teams.
• Handle large projects and high-yielding opportunities, supporting hirify.global Enterprise and legacy accounts globally.
• Put together RFPs for a global portfolio of customers and manage the process from proposal through to negotiation terms, including site inspections.
• Coordinate operational processes with cross-collaboration of wider teams based on customer requirements.
• Maintain relationships with hirify.global customers and uncover future opportunities.
• Provide customer service throughout the entire process, anticipating customer needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in venue sourcing / meetings & events team, preferably agency background.
• Good knowledge of venue and event destinations across the Globe.
• Great communication and organizational skills, used to working to tight deadlines and under pressure.
• Friendly and professional telephone manner.
• Confident in negotiating rates with suppliers on the telephone.
• Positive, flexible attitude and a great team player.
