Director, Product Specialists (Solutions Engineering): Leading a team of Solutions Engineers, providing technical leadership and strategy to solve complex customer challenges with an accent on customer success and technical excellence. Focus on strategic engagement with sales leadership, solution design, and cross-functional collaboration to drive product enhancements.

Location: Remote (US). This role is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OR, PA, RI, TX, VA, WA, or Washington DC.

Salary: $206,784.00 - $287,200.00 (depending on location)

What you will do

  • Lead, mentor, and scale the North American Solution Engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and customer-centric problem-solving.
  • Develop and execute strategies with sales leadership to drive customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of customer engagements, ensuring solutions meet customer needs and align with Twilio Segment’s capabilities.
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor and advocate for customers within Twilio Segment, influencing product development and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience.
  • Maintain deep technical and product knowledge of the Twilio Segment platform and the broader technology landscape.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in software engineering or solution architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
  • Strong technical background with experience in software development, data platforms, and cloud technologies.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute technical strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
  • A strong customer advocate with a track record of driving customer success and satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and grow high-performing technical teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading Solution Engineering or Product Specialist teams within a CPaaS, UCaaS or Customer Data Platform company.
