Firmware Engineer (IoT)

Location: 100% remote

Salary: 23,000–30,000 PLN net per month on B2B, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Gather and analyze client requirements and consult clients and internal teams on solutions, technology stacks, and tools.
• Plan, develop, implement, and test firmware for IoT and connected devices.
• Collaborate with mobile teams to optimize and troubleshoot communication between devices and companion applications.
• Write and maintain firmware documentation and estimate development work.
• Participate in requirements discussions and daily calls, identifying inconsistencies and open issues.
• Improve engineering practices and help establish and maintain development standards.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional firmware development experience.
• Professional experience with C/C++ development for embedded systems.
• Experience with ESP32, Espressif ESP-IDF, ESP-ADF, and STM32.
• Working knowledge of Bluetooth, including BLE and Bluetooth Mesh, with familiarity across the Bluetooth stack.
• Knowledge of toolchains such as CMake, GCC, and Python-based tools, plus familiarity with MQTT and WebSockets.
• English at B2 level or higher, both written and spoken; self-reliance, responsibility, and effective time management.

Nice to have

• Rapid hardware prototyping with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, or Nucleo.
• Knowledge of LoRa, Zigbee, Thread, Wi-Fi, and other networking standards.
• Experience managing IoT device fleets with AWS IoT Core, GCP Cloud IoT, Azure IoT, or similar platforms.
• Experience with cryptography, audio paths, machine learning on embedded devices, or Rust.
