What you will do

• Lead the delivery of new features across money movement, accounting, and reporting platforms.
• Ensure the high reliability and correctness of core systems including the ledger, payment origination, and reconciliation.
• Raise the bar on operational excellence, observability, and incident response.
• Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to align on requirements and high-impact engineering initiatives.
• Coach and grow engineers through mentorship, feedback, and active performance management.
• Participate in and help evolve the team's on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the US, Canada, Netherlands, Poland, or the Czech Republic.
• English proficiency: Fluent required.
• Strong technical leadership experience managing and coaching software engineers.
• Expertise in designing and operating high-reliability systems with strict correctness requirements.
• Proficiency in Python and AWS, or the ability to ramp up quickly on the tech stack.
• Experience shipping and operating production services with a focus on measurable reliability.
