What you will do
- Perform and document detailed SOX control testing according to company methodology and PCAOB standards.
- Assess the design and operating effectiveness of key business process controls to identify potential deficiencies.
- Prepare clear workpapers and effectively communicate testing results to global stakeholders.
- Participate in walkthroughs and support updates to risk and control matrices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and process owners to ensure timely testing completion and remediation.
- Support initiatives for continuous control monitoring, process automation, and audit quality improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or SOX compliance.
- Proven hands-on experience executing SOX testing within a U.S.-listed organization.
- Strong working knowledge of internal control frameworks such as COSO and applicable auditing standards.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and time zones.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high documentation standards.
Nice to have
- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or CIA.
- Experience with Big Four or large global public accounting firms.
- Familiarity with GRC platforms like AuditBoard or Workiva.
- Exposure to ITGC testing and advanced data analytics tools.
