What you will do

• Clean, validate, and reconcile large, complex datasets from multiple sources to identify errors and inconsistencies.
• Process and standardize incoming premium and claims bordereaux from various partners.
• Investigate data anomalies and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with underwriting and operations teams.
• Prepare analysis-ready datasets using advanced Excel and Power Query.
• Provide critical data support for monthly, quarterly, and annual actuarial reporting.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources and transformation processes for auditability.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
• Proven experience in cleansing, manipulating, and validating large, often unstructured datasets.
• Strong investigative and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Must be based in or able to work from Toronto, Canada (Hybrid)

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience working with premium and claims bordereaux.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and data manipulation.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Basic understanding of P&C insurance concepts (e.g., written vs. earned premium).
