Senior Technical Analyst, Data Engineering and Business Intelligence (Python/Snowflake)

Location: Flexible hybrid schedule at 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, then at 3 Robert Speck Parkway in Mississauga. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Salary: CAD 120,000–150,000 annual base salary plus a discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based data pipelines, automation scripts, and internal analytics tools.
• Build and optimize data transformations, models, and workflows in Snowflake and Informatica Cloud.
• Modernize spreadsheet-based processes into centralized Python and Snowflake solutions.
• Automate reporting, data validation, back-testing, and analytical workflows for product research, performance reporting, risk ratings, fund comparisons, and related initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports, with additional support for Power BI and SAP Business Objects.
• Collaborate with Product, BI, IT, and Engineering teams on data governance, security, access controls, and BI platform administration.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, BI analytics, or a closely related role.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering, automation, and analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, data modeling, SQL development, performance optimization, and relational or cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience building internal data pipelines, automation, analytics tools, and BI solutions; Tableau experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, experience with Git or similar version control, and understanding of data governance, security, and access management.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting financial products or capital markets analytics.
• Experience with Tableau Cloud, Power BI Service, SAP Business Objects, or BI platform administration.
• Experience with Informatica Cloud, orchestration, scheduling, workflow automation, or AWS services such as S3, IAM, and Lambda.
