Salary: $180,000 – $235,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Review and negotiate commercial agreements (SaaS, MSAs, SOWs) to balance legal risk with business outcomes.
• Act as a solutions-oriented partner for Sales, Security, Product, and Leadership teams.
• Establish working norms and scalable legal infrastructure within a hypergrowth startup environment.
• Design and enforce policies and controls over the internal contracting process.
• Evolve with the company to take on new challenges outside of commercial legal as the team scales.

Requirements

• Qualified attorney with 4-7+ years of legal experience from a top-tier law firm or relevant in-house role.
• Deep expertise in drafting and closing high volumes of commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and DPAs.
• Proficiency in legal frameworks including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
• Strong understanding of security concepts, AI governance, and intellectual property in SaaS transactions.
• Must be based in and work onsite in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• In-house legal experience at a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
• Process-building mindset with experience in LegalOps, CLM tools, and Salesforce integrations.
• Experience negotiating with highly-regulated customers in financial services, healthcare, SLED & FED.
• Direct experience negotiating AI-specific terms with counterparties.
• Experience building legal playbooks, fallback clause libraries, and approval workflows.
