What you will do

• Lead a team responsible for building bespoke custom applications and integrations into the company’s technology ecosystem.
• Drive software engineering maturity and productivity improvements through the operationalization of AI-assisted development tools.
• Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions in alignment with enterprise strategy.
• Manage the full execution lifecycle from discovery and design through development, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Fundraising, Marketing, and Mission stakeholders to elicit requirements and define KPIs.
• Oversee technology vendors to ensure high-quality delivery that meets contractual scope, budget, and security standards.

Requirements

• Must be currently residing in Canada and legally entitled to work in Canada.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• 7+ years of overall software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Azure, API/microservices, and modern frameworks such as React, Node.js, JavaScript, and Python.
• Experience operationalizing AI-assisted development tools and productivity measurement frameworks.
• Strong architectural judgment and system integration expertise at enterprise scale.

Nice to have

• Experience with Digital Experience Platforms (Contentful, Optimizely, Sitecore).
• Experience implementing or enhancing enterprise platforms such as HRIS.
• Experience with best practices for enhancing off-the-shelf software (configuration over customization).
