TL;DR
Director, Business Development & Sales (Fintech): Driving growth in financial services and credit union practices through the acquisition of new logos and senior-level relationship building with an accent on high-value service engagements and strategic partnerships. Focus on expanding AEQ’s footprint in Canada and the US, shaping complex digital solutions, and owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
Location: Remote. Must be based in Canada or the United States. Travel for conferences and client meetings is expected.
Salary: Base CAD 95,000 – 140,000 + performance-based commission

What you will do
- Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within credit unions and financial services.
- Own the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution shaping, proposal development, and negotiation.
- Build and maintain direct relationships with C-suite and senior decision-makers.
- Execute disciplined outbound efforts and collaborate with marketing on account-based campaigns (ABM).
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and credit union forums to generate pipeline.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure clean handoffs and support long-term account growth.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client growth roles.
- Proven success selling professional services, consulting, or complex digital solutions.
- Direct experience selling into credit unions, banks, fintechs, or regulated financial services.
- Strong hunter mentality and confidence in engaging senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing longer sales cycles and high-value deals.
- Must be based in Canada or the United States.
