Director of U.S. Government and Federal Affairs (Logistics/Aviation): Leading advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and with federal agencies to enable national-scale Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) operations in the U.S. with an accent on legislative processes, rulemaking structures, and strategic public affairs. Focus on building networks with Members of Congress and federal agencies to advance hirify.global’s public policy agenda.

Location: Based in Washington D.C. Must be eligible to work in the United States

Salary: $170,000 - $215,000

What you will do

  • Lead advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and with federal agencies to drive UAS operations strategy in the U.S.
  • Build and maintain high-level networks with Members of Congress, congressional staff, committees, and caucuses.
  • Collaborate with federal agencies including the DOT, DHS, and Department of Commerce to secure interagency support.
  • Partner with trade associations and industry members to communicate the benefits of UAS to the American public.
  • Manage outside consultants and strategic advisors to align with company goals.
  • Craft policy proposals in collaboration with internal regulatory and community teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, Congressional committees, or a federal agency.
  • Substantive experience in federal transportation policymaking, specifically regarding UAS, aviation, safety, or innovation.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful advocacy programs on Capitol Hill.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to travel to Washington, DC and various operational sites across the U.S.
