What you will do

• Lead, support, and coach the Protection Underwriting Team to ensure high standards of accuracy and customer service.
• Promote and lead initiatives to enhance ways of working and support colleague wellbeing.
• Proactively identify risks and resolve issues to strengthen the control environment.
• Identify improvement opportunities for existing processes and systems to simplify operations and enhance customer experience.
• Manage resources, performance, and day-to-day operations while supporting the Senior Leadership Team.
• Create an engaging environment by seeking feedback and recognizing colleague contributions.

Requirements

• Strong skills in leading, coaching, and role modeling for a customer service team.
• Ability to identify and implement process, system, and procedure improvements.
• Experience in risk ownership and ensuring fair outcomes for customers.
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly from Edinburgh.
