TL;DR

Stock Plan Administrator (Finance): Owning the day-to-day administration of equity compensation programs including stock options and RSUs with an accent on regulatory compliance and cross-functional coordination. Focus on maintaining accurate equity records, processing grants, and ensuring compliance with ASC 718 and 409A.

Location: Remote-first; Must be based in the US (excluding AK, AR, DE, HI, ME, MS, NM, OK, SD, VT, WI)

What you will do

  • Own the administration of equity compensation programs, including stock options and RSUs.
  • Process grants, vesting, exercises, cancellations, and terminations via equity management software.
  • Maintain accurate equity records and reconcile data across equity and HR platforms.
  • Prepare reports for the Compensation Committee and support payroll reporting and tax withholding (Form 3921).
  • Partner with Legal to ensure compliance with plan documents, board approvals, and regulatory requirements (ASC 718, 409A).
  • Respond to employee inquiries and drive process improvements for internal controls.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in stock plan administration or equity compensation.
  • Hands-on experience with Carta or other equity administration systems.
  • Experience with ADP and Workday (or similar payroll/HRIS systems).
  • Strong understanding of stock options, RSUs, vesting schedules, and tax implications.
  • Knowledge of ASC 718, 409A, and related compliance requirements.
  • Must be based in the US, excluding AK, AR, DE, HI, ME, MS, NM, OK, SD, VT, WI

Nice to have

  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation.
  • Experience in high-growth, pre-IPO, or public company environments.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls related to equity administration.
  • Experience supporting global equity programs.
