What you will do

• Oversee daily equity plan operations in Carta, including grant processing, option exercises, and cap table management.
• Design and document standard operating procedures and internal controls for all equity plan activities.
• Manage monthly and quarterly equity reconciliations and reporting in partnership with Accounting and Tax.
• Lead HRIS and payroll system integrations to streamline equity operations and tax withholding.
• Provide guidance to employees and managers on equity-related questions, including vesting, exercises, and tax impacts.
• Support the 409A valuation process and the introduction of new equity instruments like RSUs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in equity plan administration or stock plan management.
• Hands-on administrator-level experience with Carta.
• Strong knowledge of equity compensation principles, including ISOs, NSOs, and RSUs.
• Proficiency with payroll systems integration and tax withholding processes.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex equity concepts to non-experts.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation.
• Experience at a high-growth private company with a wide shareholder base.
• Hands-on experience administering private company liquidity events.
• Familiarity with ASC 718 stock-based compensation.
