Payroll & Equity Associate (Finance): Managing end-to-end payroll operations and equity compensation processing for a large-scale workforce with an accent on compliance, tax administration, and cross-functional collaboration. Location: Must be based in or near New York (NY office). This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the office.
Salary: $88,000 - $121,000

What you will do
- Process US and international payroll for over 3,000 employees, including data maintenance and vendor coordination.
- Administer equity programs using EquatePlus, ensuring accurate reconciliation with Workday and the General Ledger.
- Manage tax and compliance filings, including state/local tax accounts, ACA, and 401k audits.
- Partner with Compensation and Accounting teams to handle equity transaction funding and reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll and equity inquiries via Zendesk.
- Develop and document improved processes and controls for payroll and equity operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll operations.
- Hands-on experience processing payroll in an HRIS system, preferably Workday.
- Experience with equity administration and taxation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with high-volume data.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with international payroll and equity.
- Proficiency with EquatePlus or Computershare.
- Experience managing support tickets in Zendesk.
