TL;DR

Technical Support Engineer (Fintech): Managing long-term integration projects for payment tokenization clients with an accent on network debugging, API troubleshooting, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on resolving complex connectivity issues (TLS/SSL, DNS), triaging customer technical requests, and maintaining high SLA standards for Fortune 100 and startup clients.

Location: Must be based in the US (specifically CA, CO, CT, FL, IL, NY, NC, OR, TX, VA, WA) or Canada. No visa sponsorship provided.

Salary: $50,000 - $90,000 a year

What you will do

  • Manage long-term integration projects for clients ranging from Fintech startups to Fortune 100 companies.
  • Coordinate technical alignment between internal hirify.global development teams and customer technical staff.
  • Triage and perform deep-dive debugging of customer issues using logs, cURL, and Postman.
  • Investigate and resolve complex network connectivity issues, including DNS, TCP/IP, and TLS/SSL handshakes.
  • Develop and maintain internal and public-facing technical documentation based on investigation findings.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations and consistently meet or exceed SLA targets.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Technical Support, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Project Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Deep understanding of HTTP protocol, RESTful APIs, proxies, and advanced software troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to independently debug network issues (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, and TLS/SSL).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States at the time of hire (no sponsorship provided).
  • Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency (written and spoken).

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the payments ecosystem (Acquirers, Issuers, Gateways) and compliance standards like PCI-DSS or SOC2.
  • Experience reading and debugging code in Python, Go, Java, or similar languages.
