What you will do

• Own the end-to-end month-end close and annual financial statements for international subsidiaries.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen the close process, journal governance, and reconciliation quality.
• Coordinate statutory reporting timelines and manage international audit execution end-to-end.
• Streamline intercompany billing, reconciliations, and eliminations to reduce period-end errors.
• Coordinate VAT filings across multiple jurisdictions in collaboration with tax teams.
• Build and lead AI-driven projects to automate and enhance accounting workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of solid accounting experience across multiple countries or legal entities.
• Proven track record of running a full month-end close independently.
• Practical experience with international VAT filings and local compliance obligations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or HGB.
• Must be based in Berlin.
• Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.

• Experience working in a scale-up or fast-growth environment.
• Active curiosity or experience in experimenting with AI tools and agent building.
• German language proficiency.
