Compensation: €65,000 – €85,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Automate recurring bookkeeping tasks by integrating tools like Payhawk with DATEV.
• Migrate bookkeeping and VAT compliance from external providers to an in-house DATEV environment.
• Manage intercompany reconciliation and consolidation across multiple entities.
• Design standardized procure-to-pay and expense workflows with clear audit trails.
• Deliver timely financial data for group reporting and manage relationships with external tax advisors.

Requirements

• Must be based in Berlin and able to work 5 days a week in the office.
• Proven in-house accounting experience including AR/AP, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing.
• Strong proficiency in DATEV Rechnungswesen or comparable systems.
• Demonstrated experience migrating manual accounting processes to automated in-house systems.
• Fluency in German GAAP; knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with a strong instinct for process automation.
