TL;DR

Sales Engineer (Fintech): Designing and implementing customized network infrastructure and market data services for high-frequency trading firms with an accent on low-latency, high availability, and scalability. Focus on creating client-specific technical designs, leading whiteboard sessions, and bridging the gap between client requirements and internal engineering standards.

Location: Hybrid in Hong Kong (weekly office attendance required)

What you will do

  • Collaborate with sales and account management as a technical expert to qualify and win new business.
  • Design low-latency, scalable network solutions based on client technology requirements.
  • Create detailed solution diagrams and lead technical whiteboard sessions for prospects.
  • Provide technical support for proof-of-concepts and identify/resolve implementation challenges.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal Platform and Network Engineering teams.
  • Gather client feedback to influence product roadmaps and future design considerations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in financial technology sales engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of low-latency trading infrastructure and financial extranets.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols, unicast/multicast routing, and Arista/Cisco hardware.
  • Must be based in Hong Kong for hybrid work arrangements.
  • Strong communication skills; proficiency in both English and Mandarin is desirable.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Salesforce.com, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Corvil network monitoring and Redline feed handler technology.
