What you will do

• Lead a developer squad in an Agile framework to build and maintain internal systems for MTG Arena.
• Create and communicate 2-3 year roadmaps and documentation for upper management.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove team blockers, and manage resource acquisition.
• Mentor mid- and associate-level production staff on methodologies and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to review technical whitepapers and contracts.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and coordinate weekly syncs with live service engineers.

Requirements

• Must be based in Renton, WA, United States.
• Strong technical background (experience as an engineer or working closely with software engineering teams).
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and the ability to implement process improvements.
• Experience with enterprise project management tools such as Jira, Rally, or Asana.
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical plans for non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives independently from start to finish.

Nice to have

• Scrum, PO, or SAFe certifications.
• Experience in scripting, automation, or technical writing.
• Familiarity with Cloud Architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP) and Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Telemetry stacks (Grafana, Datadog) and Build systems (Python, Jenkins).
• Passion for Magic: The Gathering and the Arena product.
