Salary: $21 - $24 an hour

What you will do

• Coordinate medical record retrieval and ensure timely submission of patient documentation.
• Prepare and process referrals to specialists and manage prior authorization requests.
• Virtually greet and room patients prior to telehealth appointments.
• Review and update patient records in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Serve as a liaison between patients, caregivers, and care teams.
• Assist neurologists and advanced practice providers during virtual encounters.

Requirements

• Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA required)
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or telehealth setting
• Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and virtual communication tools
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently

Nice to have

• Experience handling, reviewing, and managing medical records
• Experience coordinating referrals and authorizations within a healthcare or telehealth environment
• Prior experience working in a startup or organization experiencing rapid growth and change
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish- preferred
• Familiarity with neurology or chronic disease management workflows
