TL;DR

SMB Account Executive (Cybersecurity): Driving business growth and customer acquisition for AI-based cybersecurity solutions with an accent on full-cycle sales, from prospecting to closing. Focus on building strategic relationships, managing territory performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to exceed revenue targets.

Location: Must be based in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: in-office collaboration required Tuesday through Thursday).

What you will do

  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals within the assigned SMB territory.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, SDR, Customer Success, and Marketing to maximize territory performance.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and report on key performance metrics.
  • Conduct industry research to identify emerging opportunities and refine value-centric messaging.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of outbound B2B sales experience selling complex software.
  • At least 1 year of direct closing experience with a proven track record.
  • Strong proficiency in sales tools including Salesforce, Salesloft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity value propositions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work on-site in the Charlotte office Tuesday through Thursday.

Nice to have

  • Past experience selling into highly regulated markets.
  • Strong background in value-based discovery techniques.
