Software Engineer II (Venezuela)

Location: Venezuela, Remote

Salary: $1,250–$4,000 gross per month in USD

What you will do

• Build and maintain innovative product features across a full-stack engineering environment.
• Partner with engineers and product feature owners to design, develop, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Participate in design and architecture discussions and contribute to code reviews.
• Continuously build and deploy solutions with the engineering team.
• Mentor engineers who are beginning their careers.
• Support project planning, estimation, and completion with team stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in a mid-level software development role.
• Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
• Required experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools, including using AI for productivity, research, and communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with modern frontend development and React.
• Ability to work with backend-focused languages such as Go and familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL.

Nice to have

• Experience writing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice architecture.
• Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodologies, and release processes.
