Staff Fullstack Software Development Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Arlington, Virginia, United States; in-office expectation of at least 50% of the time, typically three days per week.

Salary: $208,000–$260,000 USD annual base salary, plus equity and additional compensation components.

What you will do

• Own the technical direction and end-to-end architecture of the Global Card product.
• Build customer-facing web and mobile surfaces, APIs, and services for issuing cards, holding balances, and moving money.
• Design scalable systems and solve complex engineering problems in a regulated environment.
• Partner with product, design, analytics, and engineering leaders on roadmap development and domain-level planning.
• Establish AI-native engineering practices and maintain automation standards across teams.
• Improve reliability, observability, security, and quality while mentoring engineers through design and code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience building and operating systems end to end.
• 4+ years of hands-on React or React Native development experience at product scale.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React or similar technologies, plus a backend language such as Node, Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
• Experience leading team and cross-team design reviews, designing for extensibility, and working with distributed large-scale systems and cloud platforms.
• Experience applying AI across the software development lifecycle, including authoring agents, drafting technical specifications, and creating prototypes.
