What you will do

• Oversee financial management, reporting, and compliance with local and international standards.
• Lead and improve the month-end accounting close process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage government payments, lodgements (BAS, PAYG), and tax submissions for Australian and US entities.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and approval standards.
• Oversee internal and external audit processes to ensure transparency and stakeholder confidence.
• Drive process improvements and leverage financial systems to enhance data accuracy and capacity.

Requirements

• CA/CPA qualified with 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Proven track record of building or enhancing an accounting function from the ground up.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms like QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and BI tools.
• Experience managing financial policies, internal controls, and audit procedures.
• Ability to navigate the complexity of international business operations across multiple jurisdictions.

Nice to have

• Practical experience in cash flow management, banking, treasury finance, or hedging strategies.
• Specific experience with R&D tax credit optimization.
