What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of startup and SME clients, providing advisory and compliance services.
• Represent clients confidently with the ATO.
• Own the end-to-end BAS and tax return preparation and lodgment process.
• Provide guidance and quality control for the remote bookkeeping team.
• Act as a trusted advisor on all accounting and tax matters.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of bookkeepers and tax accountants.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• A passion for the Australian SME space and client satisfaction.
• Registration as an individual Tax Agent with the TPB, with at least 2 years of experience — this is mandatory
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a practicing tax accountant managing a portfolio of SME clients.
• At least 2 years’ experience managing a team of bookkeepers and tax accountants.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Xero Practice Manager, Dext, A2X, and other accounting operations tools.
