TL;DR

Solutions Engineer (Cloud): Partnering with sales teams to drive technical pre-sales, conduct discovery and demos, and ensure successful adoption of cloud infrastructure-as-code platforms. Focus on translating complex technical requirements into architectural solutions, managing POCs, and bridging the gap between customer needs and product roadmap.

Location: Must be based in the Bay Area, remote-first company.

Salary: $115,000–$190,000 (plus 30% variable/commission)

hirify.global is an open-source infrastructure-as-code company building tools for cloud software development and automation.

What you will do

  • Lead technical pre-sales engagements, including discovery, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Guide architectural decisions and best practices for cloud and platform engineering teams.
  • Articulate hirify.global’s value proposition to both technical stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Close complex opportunities using advanced competitive knowledge and technical credibility.
  • Act as a customer advocate by feeding requirements back to product and engineering teams.
  • Present product capabilities at customer meetings and industry events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
  • Must be based in the Bay Area.
  • Proficiency with modern programming languages such as Go, Python, TypeScript, C#, or Java.
  • Deep familiarity with cloud infrastructure, application modernization, and IaC tools like hirify.global or Terraform.
  • Experience with solution selling methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Public cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced technology company.
