What you will do

• Lead, coach, and scale a senior Platform Infrastructure Engineering (PIE) team.
• Own the platform roadmap across cloud infrastructure, SRE, developer experience, and architecture standards.
• Drive multi-cloud strategy (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data center migrations using Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Manage the end-to-end observability stack and establish SLO-driven reliability standards.
• Optimize developer experience through golden-path tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and release workflows.
• Partner with Security to embed RBAC, secrets management, and secure-by-default patterns.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Mountain View, Los Angeles, or San Francisco, CA
• 8-10+ years of software development experience with a deep background in infrastructure, platform, or SRE.
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including hiring and performance management.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi), and modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proven track record of running platform teams as force multipliers for engineering velocity and reliability.
• Strong communication skills for influencing cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.

• Experience leading multi-cloud environments and large-scale migrations.
• Experience building platforms specifically for LLM-powered products or AI-assisted workflows.
• Background in highly regulated industries (healthcare, finance) with HIPAA or SOC 2 compliance.
