TL;DR

HR Generalist: Providing hands-on HR support for the Canadian workforce across employee relations, onboarding, benefits, and performance management with an accent on compliance with Canadian employment standards. Focus on improving HR workflows through process optimization and the use of AI-enabled tools and automation.

Location: This position is based in our Calgary office and requires a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days work from home).

hirify.global serves as the primary HR contact for the Canadian workforce, providing hands‑on support across employee relations, onboarding, benefits, performance management, and HR operations.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for Canadian employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, benefits, performance, and workplace concerns.
  • Administer Canadian benefits programs, including enrollments, vendor coordination, and employee support.
  • Advise managers on performance management, coaching, and corrective action.
  • Partner with the U.S. HR team to ensure consistent HR operations across North America.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through automation and AI‑enabled tools.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, events, and culture programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • ~5 years of HR experience, preferably supporting a multi-site or regional workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment laws and HR practices.
  • High attention to detail, strong follow‑through, and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
