Commercial Counsel

TL;DR

Commercial Counsel: Supporting the company’s commercial legal requirements in the US with an accent on contract negotiation, contact management and data privacy initiatives. Focus on structuring, drafting and negotiating a wide range of complex technology agreements and providing legal support to internal stakeholders.

Location: Must be based in the United States

Salary: $130,000-$195,000, plus bonus & RSU's

What you will do

• Be a legal point of contact for the company’s customer and vendor contract needs.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate a wide range of complex technology agreements, including master services agreements and SaaS software subscription agreements.
• Advise on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals.
• Contribute to the development of standard form agreements and participate in contract administration policies.
• Participate in and contribute to the company’s privacy initiatives.
• Provide legal support to hirify.global’s internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, engineering, facilities, finance, and people teams.

Requirements

• J.D. and excellent academic credentials.
• Member in good standing of state bar association.
• 4-8 years of commercial transactional legal experience with emerging growth technology companies.
• Excellent drafting and strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues.
• Ability to be a self-starter, flexible, and balance legal risks and business concerns.
• Experience with global privacy regulations including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
