Salary: $199,625 — $292,783 USD (New York City Base Pay Range), $195,466 — $286,683 USD (California Base Pay Range), $195,466 — $286,683 USD (Washington Base Pay Range)

What you will do

• Provide strategic advice to manage global privacy risks while supporting business needs and innovation.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, compliance, and leadership to review new features and uses of information.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines to communicate compliance requirements.
• Draft legal agreements relating to privacy and security.
• Conduct privacy assessments, respond to data subject rights requests, and support privacy-related regulatory interactions.
• Manage and interact with external counsel.

Requirements

• Licensed in good standing to practice law.
• 7+ years’ relevant experience (2+ years’ in-house experience at a fast-paced technology company preferred).
• Hands-on experience providing practical legal guidance regarding risks and obligations under global privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, US federal and state privacy laws, APAC data protection laws).
• Familiarity with emerging privacy issues, including AI/ML, biometrics, and automated decision-making.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and sound judgment in ambiguous circumstances.
