What you will do

• Monitor news cycles continuously to identify breaking news and viral events relevant to the organization's mission.
• Craft timely, on-brand posts and reactions across social platforms, particularly X/Twitter.
• Manage rapid-response communications during crises or unexpected events to ensure impactful, on-brand messaging.
• Analyze trends to position the organization as a dependable source for breaking news.
• Collaborate with the social media team to ensure rapid response content integrates seamlessly with the overall strategy.
• Engage actively with followers and influencers to foster a positive community and encourage meaningful discussion.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of algorithms and trends on X/Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage high-pressure situations.
• Strong writing skills capable of crafting succinct, impactful posts on short notice.
• Proficiency in social media analytics tools and content management platforms.
• Knowledge of political, cultural, and social media landscapes relevant to the organization's mission.
• Comfort with fast-paced, high-volume environments requiring real-time responses.
