TL;DR

Director, Business Development (Energy): Driving growth across the Americas by originating, shaping, and closing high-value energy storage and optimization software transactions with an accent on strategic customer relationship management. Focus on market expansion, structuring complex multi-million-dollar deals, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver sustainable energy solutions.

Location: Must be based in Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid: 4 days in office). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Lead business development initiatives to drive adoption of energy storage and digital solutions.
  • Manage strategic customer relationships through the full commercial lifecycle.
  • Structure transactions and quantify customer value using advanced modeling tools.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to craft comprehensive solutions.
  • Maintain pipeline management and accurate forecasting within CRM systems.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and strategic forums.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of technical sales or business development experience in energy or software.
  • Proven track record of closing multi-million-dollar B2B or utility-scale transactions.
  • Strong analytical capability, including value modeling and commercial structuring.
  • Deep expertise regarding utilities, IPPs, and enterprise energy customers.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • Exceptional negotiation and executive-level presentation skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SaaS or digital optimization platforms.
  • Knowledge of grid services and market design.
  • Ability to inhirify.global without authority in a global matrix organization.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
